Lamoille Health Partners Welcomes Dr. Lance Broy as New Chief Executive Officer
Organization Thanks Interim CEO Susan Bartlett for Her Steadfast Leadership

Morrisville, VT – October 17, 2025 — Lamoille Health Partners is proud to announce that Dr. Lance Broy, MD, MBA, has been appointed as the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Broy has served as Chief Medical Officer since November 2023 and brings a deep commitment to compassionate, community-based care.

The appointment follows a national search conducted by the Lamoille Health Partners Board of Directors, which sought candidates with proven leadership in healthcare, a commitment to community well-being, and a vision for sustainability in rural health. After reviewing and interviewing several highly qualified candidates from across the country, the Board concluded that Dr. Broy’s blend of clinical experience, strategic insight, and deep understanding of Lamoille Health Partners’ mission made him the ideal choice to lead the organization forward.

In his new role, Dr. Broy will continue to provide patient care while leading the organization, maintaining his current clinical hours to stay closely connected to the individuals and families who rely on Lamoille Health Partners.

“Dr. Broy has demonstrated an exceptional balance of clinical expertise, collaborative leadership, and genuine care for both patients and staff,” said Peter G. Anderson, Esq., Chair of the Lamoille Health Partners Board of Directors. “The Board is confident that his thoughtful approach and steadfast dedication to community health will guide the organization into a strong and sustainable future, which for the first time in its history will be a Physician directed enterprise.”

Dr. Broy earned his BS, MS, and MD from West Virginia University, and later became a Certified Physician Executive through the American Association of Physician Leaders. He also holds an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. After more than a decade of visiting Vermont, Dr. Broy and his family made the Green Mountains their home, drawn by the region’s sense of community and natural beauty.

“Our mission has always been to deliver premiere, whole-person healthcare to our communities,” said Dr. Broy. “I am honored to continue serving as a family medicine physician and chosen as the next CEO for LHP,” said Dr. Broy. “I’m inspired by the dedication of our teams and the impact we have on our patient’s lives. I look forward to ensuring that we continue working together to provide excellent, quality healthcare.”

The organization also expresses deep gratitude to Susan J. Bartlett, who has served as Interim CEO since January 2025, stepping in from the Chair position to help guide the organization while searching for its next CEO.  Susan provided thoughtful and steady leadership during a time of transition, ensuring that care, communication, and collaboration remained at the forefront.

“It has been a privilege to serve this extraordinary organization and to witness the commitment of our staff and providers,” said Bartlett. “Dr. Broy’s leadership and vision will serve Lamoille Health Partners well, and I am confident that the organization’s future is bright under his guidance.”

A longtime Vermont leader, Bartlett represented the Lamoille district in the Vermont Senate for 18 years and chaired the Senate Appropriations Committee. She later served as Special Assistant to Governor Peter Shumlin and as Special Projects Coordinator for the Agency of Human Services, focusing on education, employment, and anti-poverty programs.
