Dr. Nat Mulkey provides affirming psychiatric care focused on partnership and shared decision-making. He works with patients to understand their goals, explains treatment options in clear terms, and helps create practical, personalized care plans. His clinical interests include helping patients understand medication options, working closely with primary care and therapy teams, and improving care for people who have faced barriers in the healthcare system.
Nat Mulkey was born and raised in Tulsa Oklahoma and completed his undergraduate degree in psychology at Hendrix College in Arkansas. He then went to medical school at Boston University School of Medicine and matched into psychiatry at the University of Vermont Medical Center. He completed additional fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry also at the University of Vermont. Throughout his training Dr. Mulkey has aimed to stay and practice in Vermont and spent deliberate time doing electives in community care and learning about the local healthcare system. Outside of work he enjoys music, snowboarding, swimming, and spending time with friends and family.
